Notes from Underground was a group exhibition presented in the former ice cellar beneath the Kupferberg Terraces in Mainz in 2024.
Baustellenidylle by Julia Seifried and Wall by Philipp Neßler introduced elements associated with construction and physical labor into the vaulted underground space. Both works responded to the unfinished and utilitarian character of the former ice cellar and its material and spatial conditions.
